The University Writing Center is an instructional facility focused on teaching writers, rather than simply fixing papers.
Students may receive help on any type of writing task at any stage of the writing process. Consulting sessions are held in Academic Support Center 1390 and Marx Library 240A. eTutoring appointments are available for online students. Appointments may be scheduled via our main web page: www.southalabama.edu/writing.

This site is designed to offer students and faculty resources that pertain to various stages in the writing process. Included are helpful links, handouts, videos, and other materials designed to support and develop writing across a wide range of disciplines. Since writing is a process, the sources gathered attempt to cover a wide range of topics, such as information on essay organization, writing in the health sciences, citation guides, and more.

This page is developed and maintained by the consultants at the University of South Alabama Writing Center. Navigate the resources by selecting the various topics on the right side of the screen. From a first year student to the doctoral candidate, the resources gathered are designed to help across any stage of the writing process. The site is easy to navigate by simply clicking the sub-page or using the search bar at the top of the page. This resource is constantly updated with new information and materials, so check back often.
